Duct Detectors are quite often overlooked during annual inspections.  Many times, they are not able to be located and yet they perform a vital function in a building’s fire protection system. In addition to verifying differential pressure in air duct type smoke detectors, airflow through all other ports are to be verified as well (NFPA 72-2022 as well as CAN/ULC S536-13).  AV Checker is the perfect tool for the continued maintenance of fire alarm systems. Easy to use, portable and lightweight, this product meets NFPA 72 as well as CAN/ULC S536 standards for verifying duct type smoke detectors are performing within manufacturers specified limits.
