And just like that, the 2022 trade shows have come to an end! This year SDi has ended 2022 by exhibiting at the 26th Annual Louisiana Life Safety and Security Association (LLSSA) Convention and Trade Show, in addition to the California Alarm Association’s (CAA) Winter Convention.

The 26th Annual LLSSA Convention and Trade Show has held in Kenner, Louisiana on November 17th. This was a new show for SDi to attend and Tyler Phillips, Southern Business Development Manager, proudly represented SDi at this conference. The conference featured a full day of courses followed by a trade show that was attended by over 300 attendees in the fire and life safety industry. The Solo 365 Electronic Smoke Detector was very popular at this conference, generating a busy traffic flow to SDi’s table. The Testifire Multicriteria Detector Tester was also very popular as it is an all-in-one test tool for smoke, heat, and CO testing (CO is available with the TF2001). Electronic smoke detector testers have become increasingly popular due to some of their innovative features such as providing a controlled release of smoke, heat, and CO, cartridge technology which eliminates the need for carrying around bulky aerosol cans, and a built-in clearing function. Following the LLSSA Convention and Trade Show, SDi attended the CAA Winter Convention, which took place in San Francisco, California on November 30th – December 3rd. The CAA Winter Convention was a busy week filled with courses, meetings, exhibits, and social events. Ed Fuentes, SDi’s Southwest Business Development Manager represented SDi at this show where SDi once again showcased our line of electronic smoke detector testers – Solo 365 and Testifire. Although the traffic at this show was on the lighter side, it was a great opportunity to network with customers and other vendors in the Southwest territory. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the CAA Spring Convention that is taking place in May 2023 in Palm Springs!
