SDi’s President, Rick Heffernan (current President of The Automatic Fire Alarm Association)  met on AFAA’s behalf with the Mexican Association of Automatic Fire Sprinklers (AMRACI) and the National Council for Fire Protection (CONAPCI) recently to draft a Collaboration Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding that will be entered into by all three organizations.  During the virtual meeting, AFAA’s Executive Members met with the leadership of AMRACI and CONAPCI to discuss the benefits and opportunities of working together to promote professional education, standards development and increase the visibility of fire protection and life safety issues throughout Mexico and Latin America. AFAA, AMRACI and CONAPCI will be formally signing the collaborative agreement at AMRACI’s membership meeting next month.  Rick Heffernan will also be presenting to their membership at that time, outlining the benefits and resources that they will be bringing to the partnership.  SDi is very active in the Latin American market and looks forward to supporting these worthwhile endeavors in the future!
