As a Corporate Sponsor, SDi was invited to attend the Wayne Moore Career Celebration and Scholarship fundraising kickoff held at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) at the Odeum Rubin Campus Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Acknowledged industry icon, Wayne Moore, PE, FSPE has recently stepped back from the Life Safety Industry, where he has been a force for change globally for more than fifty years. In May of 2019, Wayne established the Melissa Katherine Moore Scholarship at WPI in honor of his late daughter, Melissa. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to provide academic scholarships for women seeking a degree in fire protection engineering, and with a demonstrated need. As a result of industry support, the scholarship is now fully funded in perpetuity!
