The 2023 NFPA Conference was a very exciting show for SDi as we introduced our first connected solution – Testifire XTR2. Testifire XTR2 offers all-in-one testing including, smoke, heat, hi-heat, combined, sequential, and delayed start test modes. In addition to functional testing of smoke and heat, Testifire XTR2 takes testing to the next level as it automatically generates reports while a test is being carried out. The reports combine all the data needed to prove testing has taken place and confirm the status of each detector with information such as site location, detector details, result and time of each test, test date, and name of the technician.  

The launch of Testifire XTR2 at NFPA made for a busy show with hundreds of live demonstrations during the three-day conference. The SDi booth was set up with live smoke and heat detectors so that attendees could receive the full testing experience with Testifire XTR2. The SDi team was excited to show attendees how the new solution connects to the DetectorTesters Connect app via Bluetooth and how easily a test could be carried out. Following the test, the reporting feature was readily available on a monitor where attendees could browse through the user-friendly cloud portal. Both existing Testifire users and those who are new to electronic testers were intrigued by the features that Testifire XTR2 has to offer. The reporting feature was a big hit as it streamlines the process for sharing information with clients.

On Monday, June 19^th, SDi hosted a presentation on the exhibit floor where those interested in Testifire XTR2 could dive deep into the product and its features. The presentation was titled “Testifire XTR2 – Test, Report, Share” and was presented by Andrea Barghini, Midwest Business Development Manager, Pat Ryan, Northeast Business Development Manager, and Brandon Heffernan, Southeast Business Development Manager. The SDi team discussed compliance, downloading the app, carrying out a test, running a report, and product features. It was exciting to see the presentation theater filled with customers eager to learn more about the new connected solution.
