In February, 2023 Brandon Heffernan, Southeast Business Development Manager, attended both the annual Alarm Association of Florida’s Annual Convention and the Siemens Fire Partner Summit. Both conferences were held in Orlando, Florida with the AAF Annual Convention taking place on February 6-8th and the Siemens conference being held on February 20th. The AAF Annual Convention was a new show for SDi and had a approximately 250 attendees. It allowed SDi to meet current and prospective customers throughout the state of Florida during both the exhibition and the networking event, which SDi proudly sponsored. Those who stopped by for a demo of Testifire were very impressed with its ability to test smoke, heat, and CO without having to switch test tools.

The Siemens Fire Partner Summit was a great opportunity to meet customers from all over the country. SDi’s booth was very busy for the entirety of the show, with many people being highly interested and impressed by the Testifire and Solo 365. There was a lot of interest in the ASD adapter for the Solo 365, as many of the attendees were unaware of a good way to test aspirating systems. By easily removing the clear test cup designed for testing point type detectors and inserting the fitted ASD adapter, technicians can use the delayed start function and test ASD systems.

While the Siemens conference was taking place in Orlando, Andrea Barghini, Midwest Business Development Manager, was over in Nashville, TN at the Potter Business Development Conference. This conference was held on February 20-22nd and included exhibits, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. Andrea presented on “NFPA 72: Inspections, Testing & Maintenance – Tools of the Trade” at two breakout sessions during the conference, where she presented to a approximately 40 attendees. Overall, the traffic flow was great at the exhibit tables and the vendor party.
