SDi had a successful presence at CAFAA’s Annual Convention in Palm Springs, California, and at Potter’s Business Development Conference in Austin, Texas. Ed Fuentes, Southwest Business Development Manager and Tyler Phillips, Southern Business Development Manager represented SDi at these events, engaging with attendees and showcasing our testing equipment.

SDi last exhibited at CAFAA’s Annual Convention in 2022 and it was great to be back for the 2024 convention! SDi values its membership with CAFAA and is enthusiastic about supporting the association. The convention was hosted at the Hilton in Palm Springs, California on February 8-9, 2024, providing a busy two-day conference filled with networking opportunities with both existing customers and potential contacts. Numerous Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) were present at the conference, providing an excellent opportunity to engage in conversations regarding their respective jurisdictions. It was a pleasure to acquaint them with SDi products and enlighten them on how our solutions facilitate secure and efficient fire alarm testing for dealers.

Tyler Philips participated in Potter’s Annual Business Development Conference from February 20-22nd. The event took place at Marriott Downtown Austin in Texas. The exhibition was bustling with activity as companies from different regions visited SDi’s booth to express their admiration for our testing equipment.

During the conference, SDi hosted two breakout sessions featuring a presentation on “NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Inspection Requirements and the Evolution of Testing” to an audience of more than 60 participants. During the presentations, Tyler reviewed NFPA 72, the equipment required for testing and inspection, and proper field utilization. Code requirements were discussed in relation to the equipment, creating interactive sessions where attendees could interact with the equipment and ask questions.

SDi’s full line of electronic testers, such as Solo 365, Testifire, and Testifire XTR2, was on display at both CAFAA and Potter. The Testifire XTR2 was particularly well-received as a new addition to our product range, making its first appearance at both events. Many attendees were excited to see how the Testifire XTR2 pairs with the DetectorTesters Connect app and generates reports in real time. We are looking forward to featuring Testifire XTR2 at various trade shows in the lead-up to its official release to the market later this year.
